  • Biochip Applications: It is efficient for covalent immobilization of peptides possessing the COCHO function in biochip applications (Martin et al., 2005).
  • Surface Modification of Glass Plates: This compound is used for modifying the surfaces of glass plates, enhancing their oxidation resistance (Yoshino et al., 1993).
  • Water-Repellent Treatments for Fabrics: It can create super high water-repellent treatments for various fabrics, maintaining this property even after washing (Mizuno et al., 2012).
  • Dental Material Surface Modification: In dental applications, it's used for modifying the surface of dental materials, offering long-range stain protection and increasing contact angles with water and oleic acid (Yoshino et al., 1993).
  • Biocidal Coatings and Adsorbents: Triethoxy(3-isothiocyanatopropyl)silane, a related compound, is used in preparing adsorbents and polymer coatings with biocidal activity (Voronkov et al., 1992).
